Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Program

  • Driving Toward a Cleaner Future

    As directed by the Inflation Reduction Act, the EPA established a Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles grant program to accelerate the replacement of existing internal combustion engine Class 6 and 7 vehicles with new zero-emission vehicles and associated infrastructure. The funding opportunity has since closed.

Under the 2024 Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program, the EPA will improve the lives of millions of Americans by reducing pollution in neighborhoods where people live, work, play, and go to school. The program will also create high-quality clean energy jobs.
